The album introduces us to the history of the monastery and the church which were founded by the Count Henry (the Bearded) who was persuaded to do so by his wife Jadwiga from Bavarian Andechs. The pious Duchess (canonized in 1267) spent here many years of her life; it is also here that she was buried. To this day many people make a pilgrimage to her grave. The monastery arrangement was shown here on contemporary colour photographs.
